Tianhe Science and Technology Park of Guangzhou Hi-tech Industry Development Zone ( in short: Tianhe Scitech Park), formerly Guangzhou Tianhe Hi-tech Industry Development Zone, is one of the state-level hi-tech industry development zones approved by the State Council in 1991.

Based on the IT industry foundation of Tianhe Scitech Park, Tianhe Software park was established in August 1999. In December 1999, it was duly entitled by the State Planning Commission and the Ministry of Information Industry as one of the China Software Industry Bases.

In September 2003, the establishment of Guangzhou IC Design Park was approved by the Guangzhou Municipal Economic Committee.

The Administrative Commission of Tianhe Scitech Park, Tianhe Software Park and Guangzhou IC Design Park is the accredited government organization responsible for providing service and management for the Parks.
